Reasonabaly priced camcorder to record golf swing?

I am looking to purchase a camcorder to record my golf swing. I am not looking to spend $3,000 on something like the Minolta Swing Vision camera you see them using on TV with the 4000 frames per second. Does anyone have any recommendations for camcorders they have used to record their golf swings that are reasonably priced? Thanks!
The ONLY consumer cameras that even approach what you want are a few of the higher-end Sony consumer camcorders that have the “smooth slow record” feature. Be advised that even though these camcorders are considered “high definition”, when the smooth slow record” feature is invoked, the video quality is degraded (and no longer high definition).

Did Ben Hogan have a Perfect Golf Swing?

Think About It – If anyone had the ‘perfect’ swing he would probably have the round that Hogan used to have dreams about. He said he was playing 18 and he made holes in one on the first 17 holes, then on 18 he lipped out for his final hole in one….at this point he would wake up, “mad as hell”. From what I’ve read about him, this dream describes him pretty well….most people would be happy to shoot 19 for 18 holes…however Hogan was ticked he didn’t achieve perfection! I believe that his swing approached perfection for that era. Nobody could use his technique today and be successful just because the equipment and the game itself has changed. At the time, due to the equipment, the emphasis was on a solid strike, and nobody mastered this as well as Hogan. I think when he got to Heaven the angels probably asked him to explain solid club to ball contact. Nowadays you can hit the ball all over the face of your driver and irons ans still be successful…I’ve had the opportunity to watch many tour players up close, and Fred Couples hits just about every shot towards the toe of his irons…Ben Hogan would not have been the player he was if he’d have slapped every shot on the toe! So to answer your question, golf is a game of imperfection…but Hogan came closest in his era to achieving total mastery of his golf swing.

has this training device improve your golf swing and score?

I have used one before and I think it really helps with tempo, especially the transfer at the top of your swing. It will definately help your swing, if you have a traditional type swing. If you tend to swing a little flat, you will have trouble with the Medicus. It "forces" you to swing upright and one a single plane.

How to maintain good tempo during golf swing?

For putting…i use the method…4 inches back=10 ft roll…and say peanut during the backswing and follow thru with butter…any similar tips for the golf swing? Been getting pretty good results with this….anything similar to this for a full golf swing?

The perfect swing is not "perfect" in the sense that it can be seen in a text book but one that can be repeated and the results repeated whenever desired.

I am on the golf team in high school? And I am doing baseball in gym? But I don’t want to mess up my golf swing? Does anyone know?
LIKE I DON’T MESS UP MY GOLF PLAYING CRICKET(LOL). Absolutely not, if you play both sports one will not hinder the other. The mechanics of swinging a baseball bat are very similar to those taught to golfers today and vise-versa. The biggest difference is the angle of attack since the baseball is thrown and the golf ball is stationary. The main thing is, the hardest thing to do, in both hitting baseballs and golf balls is, keeping the eyes on the ball until either the bat or golf club makes contact with the ball. Hope this helps
